For a couple of minutes, the morning light broke through the clouds and lit up the Golden Gate Bridge in a pleasing light.

With the fog filling in the low spots in the headlands, only the high ridges stay above it all.

One of my favorite places to sit and watch the sunrise.

Before work this morning I had the opportunity to go and see what San Francisco looked like from the Marin Headlands.

When the sun rises over San Francisco it can be a pretty spectacular site.

The night sky provides a backdrop for the fog and this Bridge.

The remnants of infrastructure from the past is now used keep some of the beach from eroding.

This image isn't quite right. It is a good example of what I call a "Learning" picture though.

When the marine layer is high, the lights of the bridge illuminate the underside of the fog that extends into San Francisco Bay.

The sun was still below the horizon, but the sky was already beginning to turn blue. This time of year, it is difficult to get up before the sun :)
